    YouTube Kids, an app designed for kids who love the video-sharing site, is now available in the Philippines.

    Starting October 5 (Wednesday) users can now download YouTube Kids via App Store and Google Play which offers a selection of kid-friendly video content which makes it a safe platform for kids.

    In InterAksyon’s report, YouTube content partnerships manager Sanoop Luke discussed what YouTube Kids is all about. “YouTube Kids has been designed as a safer version of YouTube for kids and families as we wanted to design a platform where it would be focused on kids both in terms of entertaining and enriching content,” said Luke.

    The app is made better through features such as its kid-friendly design, parental controls such as timer (limiting screen time for kids), and sound and passcode settings. The standalone app can also be viewed on larger screens via devices like Chromecast and Apple TV.

    YouTube Kids is available in 21 countries in the world and will be in more countries in Asia soon in the coming months.
