San Miguel Corporation-led Citra, the contractor for the SS3 started installing beams along Osmeña highway and will continue construction activities for 3 months. All northbound motorists coming from Skyway are encouraged to use the Magallanes and Don Bosco off-ramps to go to Makati City.
On the other hand, the Osmeña service road will be used by motorists that will use the Buendia off-ramp towards their destination in Manila as the Buendia flyover will not be opened to traffic.
Trucks, cargo vans, and other vehicles higher than 4.5 meters will be diverted to designated alternate routes. Details of the traffic diversion scheme were discussed with members and officers of different trucking associations in a recent meeting.
More traffic enforcers will also be deployed around the worksite and alternate routes to assist motorists and direct the flow of traffic.
Other Manila-bound motorists are also advised to avoid the Buendia flyover-Osmeña area for the next 3 months. Makati-bound motorists from Manila will also be affected as buildup will be seen along Quirino Ave.
Together with the Metropolitan Manila Development Authority, the Toll Regulatory Board, the Makati Public Safety Department and Skyway O&M Corporation, Citra is asking the public for understanding and apologizes for any inconvenience that the project may cause.
