As part of the Department of Transportation and Communication (DOTC) and the Land Transportation and Franchising Regulatory Board (LTFRB)’s effort to modernize and improve the public utility vehicle system, Point to Point (P2P) bus service has officially launched Alabang-Makati as its newest route this April 26.

The operator RRCG transport will be having its pickup point at Alabang Town Center in Alabang and Greenbelt 1 in Makati. Both routes will operate at 5:30 am to 8:30 pm with a bus that leaves at a 30-minute interval. The promo fare is P50 and P70 for regular rate. Discounts still apply to PWDs, students, and senior citizens. There are no conductors on board which is why payment is done by staff before boarding the bus.

Bikes, wheelchairs, and other equipment can be stored at the bus compartment underneath. There will be a free Wi-Fi and CCTV cameras in each bus.

This P2P bus service system was created by the DOTC to help improve traffic system and also, to provide a more reliable transportation system. The P2P system has operating routes from Trinoma-Makati through Froelich Tours, and Ortigas-Makati through HM Transport. According to a report from Manila Bulletin, more routes will be added in the next few weeks.
