Detoxify Bar Opens in Westgate

Juice up, Southies! Detoxify Bar is in town! Celebrities and guests gleefully joined owners Paul and Joy Torres at the opening of their first store south of Manila on February 23.

Located at Westgate, Alabang, the whole look of the store is clean, simple and laid-back – exactly what the south is all about! White walls, inspirational posters and comfortable chairs fill the newest store of this juice bar popular for their signature blends that aim to cleanse your body of harmful toxins.

Fun and laughter filled the air as everyone sampled the bar’s juices and dishes. The three cheese sandwich squares and the high protein salad were the perfect appetizers. The rosemary chicken and baked salmon served with sun-dried tomato and pesto dips were very delicious as well. The star of the spread, however, was the different juice blends: the refreshing Orange Detox, the flavorful Green Vegan Detox, the full-bodied Red Vegan Detox and the sweet Minty Berry. Popular among foreign patrons, though, is the Gold Detox, which has an iced tea-like taste and just the right amount of ginger.

The Indulgence series was also introduced during the event. Made for children, these gluten-free drinks are pegged as substitutes to milk and chocolate milk. The Cinnamon Nutmilk is smooth and velvety, while the Carob Nutmilk is light and chocolaty in flavor.

The presence of Detoxify Bar in the south is very promising, with many marathons, walkathons and other healthy activities and events held there. It is certain that health enthusiasts of all ages will frequent the newest, most refreshing place in town.
