    If you’re planning to stay in the Philippines for a long period of time, meaning that you plan to live here for good, then building a house is the best option. Not only because it’s a place that you can truly call home, but because if you’re planning to build a family, a house is economical. To get you started, you need to get in touch with licensed real estate professionals so that they will guide you with factors that you need to consider. If you can’t build your own house yet, then you might want to consider townhouses which are also available in the Philippines too.

    1. Condominiums

    Buying your own condominium is one, and renting is another. If you’re seeing condominiums as an investment, then it’s the former you should do however if you just want a place to stay amidst the city, then renting is an option. Condominiums are usually found in urban places such as in Makati, Ortigas, and Bonifacio Global City. When planning to stay at a condo, you need to know about the rules such as the limit of occupants, if the condo is pet-friendly, or if it is cost-effective.

    Apartments are an alternative option to housing especially that it is less expensive than a condo. These are a housing unit which occupies a part of a building. It does not have amenities like that of a condominium though, but apartments are usually complete with its own rooms, private bathrooms, and a living room area per unit.

    Hotels are establishments where you can stay in for a short-term basis. In Manila, you can find several 5-star luxury hotels especially in Makati. In areas in the Philippines which are considered as tourism capitals such as in Palawan, Boracay, and Baguio, you can also find various hotels too. If you want a comfortable, luxurious, and safe stay, hotels are a wise choice.

     

    1. Bed and Breakfast or Guesthouse

    Bed and Breakfast, often referred to as B&B, are private family houses that offers lodging to guests overnight. These are done as a source of income especially in places where tourists usually go to. Guests are offered their own room sometimes with its own private bathroom too, and you’d also get a complimentary breakfast too. These are relatively cheaper which makes it a good option for those who plan on staying for an overnight trip.

    Compared to hotels, hostels are generally cheaper because it’s meant to cater to those who are on a budget. Hostels usually let one person share a room and amenities with another. You can find hostels in La Union perfect for backpackers who just want a place to stay.

     

    1. Dormitories

    Dormitories are also available in the Philippines which is usually inhabited by students as it is usually nearby schools and universities. Dorms are run by school administration which explains the strict regulations such as the visiting hours and curfew. Depending on the amenities, dorms are not so expensive compared to condominium rents. These are safe places to especially if you want to send your child to the Philippines to study.

     

    1. Motels

    Motels are another type of accommodation which somehow looks like a hotel based on its structure but are generally cheaper. It does not have the same amenities though but these motels which are usually found along the roadside are a good option for situations such as an overnight drive where you just want a place to stay in for a night. In the Philippines, motels have a different connotation though, but there are still reputable motels you can go to for a convenient stay.
