  • Everything seems serene when you see birds fly—and what better way to get such amazing scenery than to head over to Balanga Nature and Wetland Park located in Tortugas, one of the three villages in Balanga City, Bataan.

Balanga Nature and Wetland Park is a perfect place to do bird watching.

Balanga Nature and Wetland Park is the perfect place to do bird watching while having a picnic with friends. This place is one of the favorite stopovers of the migratory birds from countries like Canada and China.

Birds in nature make a refreshing sight.

Balanga City’s thick mangrove forest, wetlands, grasslands, and mudflats have provided a nature food basket, making it one of the archipelago’s most populated bird sites. With at least 35 species and 15 families of birds recorded, it is one of the country’s bird watching havens.

    Nature is everywhere.

If you happen to be in Bataan, the best time for bird watching would be early in the morning or late in the afternoon. There are view decks and huts that can provide a better view. You may even take a long walk or read a book while enjoying the tranquility of the place complemented by the chirping of the birds.

How to go there: If you are commuting from Balanga, ride a tricycle and tell the driver to take you to Balanga Wetland. It will cost you around P15 each person.
