  • Chocolate Hills Adventure Park in Bohol
  • Bohol is known for the Chocolate Hills, but most people think the hills don’t offer too much beyond the views. All of this changed when Chocolate Hills Adventure Park opened in 2014.

Chocolate Hills Adventure Park, also known as CHAP, gives tourists an adrenaline-pumping experience you would not normally expect from the laid-back island of Bohol. It is famous for “The Rush”, a bicycle zip line 150 feet in the air that spans two hills 550 meters apart.

Take in the view of the amazing Chocolate Hills as you make your way across a zip line on a specially-designed bike for only Php 450. Not fond of pedaling? Try their latest attraction: the Wave Runner, also at Php 450. It’s a one-of-a-kind zipline where instead of being strapped in, you’re strapped ON a surfboard.

SCARY? If you’re not fond of heights, yes. But it’s not really THAT scary.

NO TURNING BACK. Literally. Once you start, there’s no turning back. Great views, though.

Oh, and did we mention that they have their own Chocolate Hills View Deck beside the zip lines?

CHAP offers more than just zip lines, though. There’s a series of tree-top challenge rope courses (Php 300 – Php 450) with 10 different rope bridges for every age group.

Apart from that, there’s also Yokozuna Wrestling (Php 400), Zorb Ball (Php 400), CHAP Body Ball (Php 400), and the Spiderman Wall Climb (Php 300). Packages are also available at Php 1,500 (Ultimate Adventure Package with mini zip line) and Php 950 (Iron Man Triathlon with Zipline).

Not an adrenaline junkie? You can still enjoy CHAP by paying the Php 60 entrance fee (not included in activity rates). CHAP has several hiking trails and an overlooking campsite where you can take in the beautiful scenery. There’s also an educational tour offered for those who want to discover the hidden flora and fauna of CHAP.

One of CHAP’s latest additions is Ang Paru-Paro, a butterfly garden that showcases different species of butterflies found in Bohol. Learn about the life cycle of the butterfly, from egg to a mature butterfly from experts who have studied Bohol’s butterflies for many years.

After a long day of activities, food will surely cross your mind. CHAP offers a daily Boholano Lunch buffet special with 15 assorted specialties. They also have a 250-person function hall that’s great for conventions, seminars, meetings, birthdays, weddings, team building, and other special events.
