  • A charming wooden guesthouse in Panglao, Bohol, Chillout Guesthouse no doubtedly keeps up with the promise of its name. The path to the house where the rooms are is a wooden walkway, surrounded by draping vines, leaves, and flowers. The rooms are simple, cozy and bright, with walls painted in gray, embellished with bright-colored curtains and pillows of either green, yellow or orange that add a lively touch of color to an otherwise neutral room. There are no TVs, so guests are encouraged to mingle in the lounge area with guests near the reception or just enjoy a book while while stretching in sofa in the balcony that is available in every room.

Chillout Guesthouse, which is just several minutes or a tricycle away from the beach, gives its guests the convenience of heading to the beach for walks, taking dips in the cool waters of Alona Beach, or just enjoying a candlelit dinner and drinks by the sea. If one is too exhausted, however, after climbing the steps to see the Chocolate Hills or ziplining at Loboc, one can just stay at the hotel, where food and drinks are also served, and just enjoy a relaxing evening watching the sun set.
