Summer in November at Shangri-La Boracay
Though it is not part of my official bucket list, I am adding and crossing it out at the same time: “Travel luxuriously once in your life.”
Where on earth can one spend summer in the month of November? Most people will say, “Only in the Philippines!”
Boracay has placed the Philippines in the world map. It is a popular tourist destination that doesn’t need any more introductions.
I’ve been to Boracay many times, but my trip last weekend is my favourite. I like to describe it as “Living the life of Riley” in Boracay.
I took advantage of the long break, so I boarded a plane going to Kalibo, Aklan. We landed and hopped on a speedboat that brought me to my piece of heaven. We booked the Premier Sea View room at the fancy 5-star Shangri-la Boracay Resort and Spa in Station 1.
I have been to three Shangri-la hotels in the Philippines and gotten a glimpse of the one in Singapore. But there is no doubt that Shangri-la in Boracay is the best! If you want to be treated like a king or a queen, go to Shangri-la Boracay!
It was indeed the most relaxing and rewarding weekend of my spontaneous life. Though it was only for 2 days and 2 nights, it felt like I was there for a week and really away from the busy streets and traffic lights.
It is never too early or too late for summer.
