  • Renting an Apartment: How Much Does it Usually Cost?
  • Apartment complexes are starting to pop up like daisies in and around Metro Manila. They’re by far the most convenient option for anyone who’s looking to stay close to where they work.

Convenience is the main reason to get an apartment, but would it be the best option for your budget? Let’s look up how much an apartment would cost in the most common areas: Makati, Taguig (for Bonifacio Global City), and Ortigas.

    Makati

    Ayala Triangle Gardens (1)

Apartments in Makati normally cost between P25,000 (studio or one-bedroom unit) and P280,000 (two- to three-bedroom unit), depending on how many bedrooms you want. Most of them are fully furnished and are located within the Central Business District. Your best bet is to get one with Megaworld Prime RFO via websites like Lamudi.

If your office is in or anywhere near Bonifacio Global City, you generally have two options: live in Makati and brave the traffic along Ayala Ave., or get one within BGC itself. Prices within BGC usually play around P25,000 – P100,000 for studio-type and one-bedroom units, while two- and three-bedroom units can go between P35,000 and P320,000. Websites like fortbonifaciorent.com are particularly helpful with those in search of places within BGC.

Ortigas, considered as the country’s second business district, also has its fare share of apartments for those who don’t want to stay somewhere in Pasig or Rizal. You’ll need to shell out P20,000 – P90,000 if you’re in the hunt for a studio-type or one-bedroom apartment. A two-bedroom apartment will set you back anywhere between P20,000 and P155,000 per month. If you have a bigger need for space, a three-bedroom apartment can go between P60,000 and P120,000.
