The Symphonic World of Studio Ghibli Heads to Parañaque This July 31 to August 2
The Symphonic World of Studio Ghibli is set to take place from July 31 to August 2, 2026 at The Theatre at Solaire in Parañaque, bringing the music of Studio Ghibli films to the concert stage.
Presented by Film Concerts PH as its second independent production, the purely orchestral program will feature original scores by Joe Hisaishi from Howl’s Moving Castle, Spirited Away, My Neighbor Totoro, and Kiki’s Delivery Service. The scores will be performed live by the 83-piece Filharmonika Orchestra under the baton of Gerard Salonga.

Show schedules are as follows:
July 31, 2026 – 8:00 p.m.
August 1, 2026 – 2:00 p.m.
August 1, 2026 – 7:00 p.m.
August 2, 2026 – 2:00 p.m.
Each show runs for approximately two hours, including a 20-minute intermission.The concert is recommended for guests aged six and above, and children must be accompanied by a parent or guardian. Guests may attend in themed attire inspired by Studio Ghibli films or in semi-formal wear.
Tickets are now available through TicketWorld and physical outlets. Each customer may purchase a maximum of four tickets per transaction. Senior citizen, PWD, and diplomat discounts are available through TicketWorld outlets. Refunds are only available for guests who selected refundable tickets during checkout. Tickets are non-transferable and cannot be upgraded to another tier or transferred to another show date.
For venue access, both printed and digital e-tickets will be accepted upon entry. Guests needing PWD seat reassignment may contact TicketWorld directly.

The event is mounted in partnership with The Japan Foundation, Manila and is endorsed by Studio Ghibli. It is also an official commemorative event for the Philippines-Japan Friendship Year 2026, marking the 70th anniversary of the normalization of diplomatic relations between the Philippines and Japan.
Unlike previous film concerts, no films will be shown on screen during the performance. The show is designed as a purely orchestral experience focused on appreciating Hisaishi’s compositions.
