Relive the Saga at Star Wars: New Hope in Concert This May

UPDATE March 30, 2020: The Star Wars: New Hope in Concert has been postponed to August 15-16, 2020, from the original schedule of May 30-31. 

Fans of the Star Wars Saga will have a chance to once again relive the grandeur of the franchise’s first movie at Star Wars: New Hope in Concert. Happening on May 30 to 31, 2020, at The Theatre at Solaire, Parañaque City—the concert will feature a screening of the complete movie with the musical score played live by the ABS-CBN Philharmonic Orchestra.

Organized by CC: Concepts, the experience allows fans of the saga to look back at the film that began its legacy.

Star Wars: A New Hope first came to the silver screen in 1977 under the direction of George Lucas. It was the first installment of the Star Wars trilogy and the first franchise of the Skywalker Saga to be produced. Its score was created by John Williams who later on won an Academy Award for Best Original Score for the film. Williams would go on to score all nine films of the Star Wars saga.

For this occasion, the ABS-CBN Philharmonic Orchestra, under the baton of Maestro Gerard Salonga, will be breathing new life into this epic score as it once again brings audiences into the world of Jedis and Siths.

Similarly, CC: Concepts also held a similar event in 2019 that featured Harry Potter and the Sorcerer’s Stone, still with the ABS-CBN Philharmonic Orchestra under the baton of Maestro Gerard Salonga.
