  • Who doesn’t love a good cocktail? There’s something about that nice little buzz it can give you once you take a glass or two.

    Well, you can now celebrate your love for the drink by taking part in the first-ever Manila Cocktail Festival happening on September 12 to 14, 2019.

    The festival aims to put the Philippines’ cocktail scene and close-knit bartender community in the spotlight. Believe it or not, several Filipino bartenders are making waves in the global scene.

    These trailblazers highlight the festival as they will come home to showcase their world-class bartending skills at some of the top bars in the Metro. Get to know three out of the 12 bartenders who will mix up a storm at the Manila Cocktail Festival!

    Starting and building his career in the famous Manhattan, Cedric Mendoza is now sharing his love for cocktails at the Grain Bar in Sydney. He envisions connection through cocktails concocted fast and efficiently.

    Gerry Olino is an award-winning bartender who climbed his way to the top of the industry through his talent and hard work. He is currently the beverage manager at Ming Fat House in Hong Kong.

    Aside from being one of the co-founders of the Philippine Flair Tour, Bryan Bonifacio is also an Asia Pacific Bartender champion. He is currently bartending at Employees Only in Singapore.

    The homecoming bartenders will give a taste of their best mixes and cocktails at these participating bars in Makati CBD, Poblacion, and Bonifacio Global City:

    There are two ways you can join the Manila Cocktail Festival: bar tour and cocktail passport.

    The bar tour is a guided cocktail journey that will take participants to four (4) guest shifts in a night. From 7 p.m. to 12m.n., participants will visit key bars and sample a special cocktail from the featured menus.

    Another bar to participate for this year’s Manila Cocktail Festival is Lampara in Poblacion

    On the other hand, if you want to enjoy Manila Cocktail Festival at your own pace, avail of the free cocktail passport. Just visit five of the participating outlets during the festival and purchase one featured drink from each bar to complete the cocktail passport! For every completed passport, you can redeem a limited-edition merchandise.
