7 Things To Expect At The We ART Intramuros 2019!
A fun day of art and craft market, workshops, exhibits and live performances awaits everyone at the We ART Intramuros happening this May 26, 2019, at Puerta Real Gardens, Intramuros Manila!
Puesto Manila, in cooperation with the Intramuros Administration, is bringing together a day of talents, collaborations, and learnings as they partner with some of the best in the industry. Here’s what you can expect at this year’s We ART Intramuros!
Gawang Kamay
Learn how to make money from your hobbies and passions from Gawang Kamay’s very own Erica Redrico. It’s s a community brand established to support local artisans and showcase their crafts through events and collaborations.
FLY Book Launch
Silaya Productions, a non-profit organization promoting arts and culture will be launching their newest masterpiece called “FLY,” a collection of poetry, prose, and artworks. The book has over a hundred pages of original contents about dream, love, and hope.
Macramé Workshop by Rope Republic 3 p.m. to 6 p.m.
Macrame is the art of knotting cord. In this workshop, crafter and maker Rope Republic will take you through the following:
- Mastering the different macrame knots
- Learning to create patterns and shapes within the piece
- Incorporating color and texture in your work.
By the end of the workshop, you can take home a finished wall hanging and more techniques that you can use to create more pieces. Workshop fee is at Php 1,950 inclusive of a kit, wooden dowels, hand-dyed cotton rope, and beads. If you want to join, you can message them through Facebook at Rope Republic.
Basic Acrylic Painting Workshop
The Basic Acrylic Painting Workshop will be conducted by Khrisna Rosette Nañola, a member of the University of the Philippines Painters’ Club [UPPPC] in UPLB. Kids will be learning the basic Acrylic painting on a Canvas while adults will learn Canvas Tote Bag painting. By the end of the workshop, students will know blending techniques, sketching, and other painting techniques on canvas.

The group who brought Filipino comics to new heights will also be at the We Art Intramuros where guests can also meet some of their favorite artists, and most importantly, buy some local comics! You can also grab a copy of their latest SULYAP anthology here!
Filipino Martial Arts Workshop
Aside from crafts, you’ll also get the chance to learn the fundamentals of modern Filipino Martial Arts to be conducted by the members of Rapido Realismo Kali. Workshop fee is for FREE. For inquiries, you can message We ART Intramuros on Facebook at Rapidorealismokalifma.
