22-year-old Fil-Aussie Model crowned Miss World PH at Manila Hotel

Catriona Elisa Magnayon Gray, a Filipino-Australian fashion and commercial model from Albay, Bicol was crowned Miss World Philippines 2016 at the Manila Hotel tent on Sunday.

The 5’9 ½ mestiza beauty will represent the Philippines at the 66th Miss World beauty pageant to be held in Washington, DC, United States on December 20.

The beauty queen model bested 24 other candidates for the title. She also bagged several special awards such as Miss Manila Hotel, Miss Hannah, Fashion Runway Award, Best in Swimsuit, and Best in Long Gown.

Born and raised in Cairns, Australia, Catriona is an only child who is also a singer and a blogger. She holds a Master Certificate in Music Theory from the prestigious Berklee College of Music in Boston, Massachusetts. Her hobbies are sketching, painting, travel, writing, photography, music, and cooking. Catriona is also a martial artist, holding a black belt in Choi Kwang Do.

Other winners in Miss World Philippines 2016 were First Princess Arienne Louise Calingo, Second Princess Ivana Kamil Pacis, Third Princess Marah Muñoz and Fourth Princess Sandra Lemonon who also won Miss Photogenic during the coronation night.
