+81 Bar, located in Makati Central Square, has earned international recognition after receiving the Bronze Award at the A’ Design Award & Competition in Italy, marking a proud milestone for the hidden Japanese-inspired cocktail club in the Philippines.

The A’ Design Award & Competition is an annual international juried design accolade that recognizes outstanding design work from around the world. Open to entries from all countries and disciplines, the competition follows a blind peer-review process, with submissions evaluated by a grand jury composed of academics, press members, entrepreneurs, and experienced designers. It also aims to create incentives for designers, brands, and businesses worldwide to develop superior products, projects, services, materials, technologies, and experiences that benefit and advance society.

Known for its distinct concept of “Hidden Bar × Cocktail Club × Japanese Culture,” +81 Bar was recognized for its immersive design and unique atmosphere that transports guests into a retro-futuristic world inspired by Neon Tokyo in the 1980s.

The space was brought to life by designer Takahiro Todoroki, whose creative vision helped shape the bar’s striking identity despite construction delays and various challenges during its development.
More than a place for cocktails, Bar +81 was created to offer guests a full sensory experience rooted in Japanese culture, hospitality, music, and the spirit of ichigo ichie, a Japanese phrase that cherishes the uniqueness of every encounter.
