  • The Embassy of Japan in the Philippines will open Japan Visa Application Centres (JVACs) in key locations across the Philippines on April 7, 2025.

    Aiming to streamline the Japanese visa application process and make it more convenient for applicants wishing to visit Japan, the JVACs will accept and process both short- and long-term visa applications ti addresses the current backlog and aims to expedite application processing times. This new system replaces the previous process where applications were submitted through accredited agencies. However, applications submitted to accredited agencies before this date will still be processed, with passport releases handled by the respective agencies.

    The JVACs will have five (5) branches across the Philippines:

    • Parañaque City: Unit Nos. 305-307, Level 3, Parqal Abaca Building 5, Along A. Luz Drive Corner Imao St, Aseana City, Barangay Tambo, Parañaque-1701, Metro Manila

    • Makati City: Ground Floor, Makati Circuit Corporate Tower Two, AP Reyes Street, Brgy. Carmona, Theater Drive, Circuit, Makati City-1207, Metro Manila

    • Quezon City: Level 3, Gateway Tower Mall, Araneta City

    • Cebu City: Faustina Center, Level 6, F. Cabahug Street, Kasambagan, Cebu City

    • Davao City: Unit: FEG 9 -10 2nd Floor, Alfresco Area, Felcris Centrale, Quimpo Blvd., Davao City

    Visa applications are accepted between 7 a.m. and 2 p.m., while passport releases are from 7 a.m. – 4 p.m., from Monday – Friday. Please note that the centers are closed on weekends and public holidays observed by the Embassy.

    Applicants should be aware of the following fees, which are payable upon submitting of the application:

    • Visa Fee: Varies depending on the type of visa and nationality.

    • Service Fee: A standard fee of Php 520 is charged for the use of the application center.
