Sr. Carmela Borres, the administrator of the orphanage, welcomed ANA with a warm greeting as she expressed her gratitude for ANA’s visit. This visit was made for ANA to donate the proceeds of their YOSE Japanese stage play event held last February 21 in Dusit Thani Hotel. About 600 guests watched the show with the main guest Tatekawa Shinosuke san. All proceeds were given to charity. According to Sr. Borres, she is very thankful for ANA’s generosity. “This financial help will be used for renovations, children’s needs, utilities, and administration,” she added. She also wishes for more help especially in transportation vehicles as the children go to school. “We are very happy with all the help we have been getting from the Japanese government. They have helped us ever since the start of building this place,” Sr. Borres added.
At the end of the simple program, ANA also gave notebooks for the children to use in their schooling. Each of the officials was asked to deliver a heartwarming message to the children of Bahay Maria for them to be inspired to persevere and live with love and hope.
