According to the calendar, the official start of classes will be on June 13, 2016 and will end on April 7 the following year. The school year will have a total of 202 school days, which includes the five-day in-service training break.

For Christmas break, it shall start on December 22, 2016 and classes will resume on January 2, 2017.

As stated in the D.O. 23, s. 2016, private schools may deviate from the calendar, just as long as it does not start earlier than the first Monday of June 2016 and not later than the last day of August. In case of any deviation, respective schools must notify the regional offices in advance.
