Move quickly in the Mountains with Merrell
Last February 11, leading outdoor global brand Merrell launched its latest gear, the MQM Flex, during BTR’s Bravehearts Run 2018 at Alapaap Mountain. Short for “Moving Quickly in the Mountains”, the MQM is today’s newest hybrid shoe made for both hiking and trail running. The event was packed with trail runners and attended by personalities including Ivan Dorschner, Lauren Reid, Alex Diaz, Sarah Black, Luke Jickain, Loren Burgos, Jay Gonzaga, and Cris Lomotan.

Luke Jickain compared the trail runs that he did in Hawaii with his Bravehearts experience: “It’s actually very hard for a 7k trail run. I did runs before in Oahu in Hawaii, it was friendly compared to this. But, it’s good because I get to test my new shoes and it’s very comfortable and it didn’t hurt my feet at all. It’s really good!”

Jay Gonzaga shared his first trail run experience: “It’s my first time actually and I’m excited to try trail running and itong MQM Flex. Tinry ko siyang itakbo while matarik siya, ok siya dahil hindi sumasakit yung paa ko. Pinakafavorite ko nung nasa peak na, nung nakita ko yung sea of clouds.”

It’s so challenging pero pagkatapos you just feel so good once you’re at the top and you see the beautiful view.” When asked about their Merrell pair: “It’s pretty comfortable and it’s not slippery.
