It’s official: Palace declares Sept. 1 a regular holiday for Eid’l Adha
Heads up! Another long weekend is on its way as President Rodrigo Duterte signed Proclamation 297 declaring Friday, September 1 as a regular holiday in observance of Eid’l Adha or the Feast of Sacrifice.
Eid’l Adha is one of two Muslim holidays that are now celebrated nationwide, along with Eid’l Fitr. The date depends on the Islamic Calendar, which the National Commission on Muslim Filipinos has recommended to be celebrated on September 1, 2017.
