Cavite implements its own number coding scheme
Cavite follows in the footsteps of Metro Manila as it seeks to implement its own number coding scheme on December 22.

The Unified Vehicular Reduction Scheme (UVRS), or Number Coding Scheme, will take effect on Thursday, December 22 at two time slots: 6:00 am – 9:00 am and 3:00 pm – 7:00 pm. The UVRS follows a similar schedule to Metro Manila’s own number coding scheme:
- Monday: Plates ending in 1 and 2
- Tuesday: Plates ending in 3 and 4
- Wednesday: Plates ending in 5 and 6
- Thursday: Plates ending in 7 and 8
- Friday: Plates ending in 9 and 0
This means private cars and vans, motorcycles, and trucks (except those covered by truck bans) whose license plate number or conduction sticker ends in a specific number will not be allowed to use the following roads on specific days of the week:
- Aguinaldo Highway – Bacoor to the Dasmariñas – Silang boundary
- Governor’s Drive – Carmona to Trece Martires City – Tanza boundary
- Molino-Salawag-Paliparan Road – from Zapote, Bacoor to Paliparan, Dasmariñas
- Entire stretch of Molino Boulevard
- Daang Hari Road – Aguinaldo Highway, Imus to Molino, Bacoor
The UVRS is in accordance with Provincial Ordinance No. 164, which also imposes a P300 fine on violators.
