“Naglaan kami ng P1 Billion para tiyakin na walang gagastusin ang bawat Makatizen na mabibigyan ng bakuna. Libre. Ligtas. Para sa lahat.” (We set aside P1 Billion to make sure that every citizen of Makati will get vaccines. Free. Safe. For everyone.)

According to Binay, the well-being of her constituents is their number one priority this year. She then added that the city officials are also working with vaccine czar Secretary Carlito Galvez Jr. for the procurement of the vaccines.

The Makati government allocated Php 1 billion for its COVID-19 vaccination program. Binay also said that an additional budget will be requested once the Inter-Agency Task Force (IATF) gives them approval.

“We will exhaust all means to get the much-needed vaccines early and have all Makatizens vaccinated. The city will also assist companies and businesses that would like to buy vaccines for their employees and workers. We are aiming for 100 percent vaccination in Makati,” Binay said.

“Guidelines for online registration to be announced soon. I want the free COVID-19 vaccine to be available and accessible to ALL Makatizens. Stay safe!” she added on Twitter.
