  • Uber’s departure may have upset a lot of commuters, but some people looked at it as an opportunity. Case in point: Go Lag Book & Ride.

Short for Go Laguna, this Sta. Rosa-based ride-hailing app is one of the recently-accredited Transport Network Companies (TNCs) that popped up in the wake of Uber’s departure. Intended to serve the province of Laguna, Go Lag will also be serving the provinces of Cavite, Rizal, and Bulacan, along with Metro Manila.

Go Lag may seem like a TNC that’s similar to Grab, but it fills in one important detail that both Grab and Uber have failed to address: accommodating passengers from and within the Greater Manila Area, which includes Cavite, Rizal, and Bulacan.

Go Lag’s flag down rate is at Php 40. They’ll charge Php 14 per kilometer and Php 2 per minute, with price surges capped at 1.5 times the normal rate. Go Lag will start accepting riders for their mobile app starting May 12 and will accept TNVS (i.e. drivers) starting May 14.
