Donate to COVID-19 Frontliners Through These Mobile Applications

With the ongoing COVID-19 crisis in the Philippines, one of the most vulnerable sectors of society is the medical workforce whose members are standing on the front line of this pandemic.

Reports of depleting supplies of personal protective equipment (PPEs) as well as hospitals reaching full capacity are circulating in the news and online. Moreover, the number of mortalities among medical frontliners also adds up each day.

In your own small way, you can help bring up morale and cheer on these hardworking people. Philippine Primer has listed mobile applications that let you directly donate to frontliners without having the need to go outside.

GCash

GCash is a helpful mobile application for hassle-free money transactions and payment of bills. They have recently launched #FightCOVID19 campaign, a digital donation drive for frontline health workers and hospitals in relation to COVID-19.

Tap ‘Pay Bills’ on the GCash dashboard
Select ‘Others’ > ‘FightCOVID19
Fill in name and amount, then tap ‘Confirm

Proceeds of the campaign will be equally divided among GCash’s organization partners, namely: the Philippine Disaster Resilience Foundation (PDRF), the Philippine Red Cross (PRC), World Vision, UP Medical Foundation, PGH Foundation, Inc., ABS-CBN Lingkod Kapamilya Foundation, and Ayala Foundation.

Globe Rewards

Now is the best time to put your Globe Rewards points to good use! Aside from extending the validity of points earned in 2019, Globe also lets you donate your points to PGH Medical Foundation, Inc. to provide PPEs to medical frontliners.
