Philippines Is the World’s 2nd Trending Destination According to Tripadvisor
Among the endless string of prominent places in the world that travelers largely flock to and have done so last 2019, the Philippines’ Luzon island ranked as the second trending destination according to TripAdvisor.
This is in accordance with the number of top reviews it collectively garnered last year, falling just one place behind Kochi, India and foremost sitting atop 23 other destinations.
Batad Rice Terraces
Luzon is one of the Philippines’ three island groups where the country’s capital—Manila, finds home. As per the amount of positive reviews on Tripadvisor, some of the island’s legions of top attractions are Banaue Rice Terraces, Mayon Volcano, Fort Santiago, National Museum, Calle Crisologo, and Mount Pulag National Park.
There’s definitely one for everyone when in Luzon—from the meek museum hopping to the adventurous trips to beaches and mountains and everything in between.

Calle Crisologo
Every year, the fore travel platform Tripadvisor conducts the Travelers’ Choice Best of the Best Awards, where among the Top 25 Popular Destinations and Top 25 Beaches, they recognize places that deservingly fall under the categories of Trending and Emerging.
While the former encompasses those that have seen a spike on positive reviews, booking interest, and searches over the last year, the latter rings the ones that have been principally added by a significant amount of users onto their Trips.

Apart from the Top 25 Trending Destinations in the World, Tripadvisor also unveiled the Top 25 Trending Destinations in the United States, which is accordingly topped by Key Largo in Florida.
Meanwhile, Kaliningrad, Russia scores the top spot in the Top 25 Emerging Destinations in the World.
