South Korea to Shorten Visa Processing Period by February
It’s time to cross South Korea off of your travel bucket lists!
The South Korean visa processing period will be reduced to 10 to 15 days as opposed to the original 25 to 27 days. This is ideal for those who are traveling to Korea in the summer.
The Embassy of the Republic of Korea in the Republic of the Philippines has announced that they will be allotting additional staff for faster visa processing. The reduced processing period will happen by the end of February.
For those who have scheduled travels between March and April, the reduced processing period will also apply to your travels. However, despite the reduced visa processing period, it is still advised to apply for your visa prior to purchasing your airline tickets since the approval and issuance of the visa are still subject for approval of the consul in charge.
Moreover, it’s important to check the visa requirements before applying for your visa as the requirements vary depending on your current status so it’s best that you check these requirements and make sure to have them all ready before you head to the embassy. Otherwise, missing requirements and forms with wrong data will be the cause of delay for your visa.
