Be Part of the Flavors with DOT’s New MyMetroManila App
Explore the wonders and flavors of Metro Manila all in one app because MyMetroManila—Department of Tourism (DOT)’s new food and travel mobile application, is now out and ready to download!
The new mobile app, which is brought by the DOT-National Capital Region led by Regional Director Woodrow “RR” C. Maquiling Jr., and powered by Explora.PH, is a part of the country’s continuous efforts to boost tourism.
Now available on Google Play Store, with the IOS version coming in January of 2020, the app serves as a guide to Metro Manila’s diverse food choices such as which ones to eat, where to find them, and the stories and history each one of the dishes holds.

Its purpose is said to “make traveling within the city easier, more convenient, and worthwhile,” equipped to provide both locals and tourists in the Metro an enhanced experience while spending time in the nation’s capital.
Users can also check for directions going to and from famous tourist spots, as well as chat with a DOT-NCR officer real-time for any inquiries one might have.

“This is a game-changer because in the past you need a brochure to go around, but if you are still planning to come here in Manila, you can already download the app and plan your trip and everything’s right at your fingertip,” Regional Director Maquiling said at the launching event.
DOT also launched Metro Yummy Picks, a 76-page guidebook highlighting local and iconic food such as the “Inutak” from Taguig City, the “Waknatoy” or the “Marikina Menudo”, “Kalderetang Itik” from Pateros, and many more.
