New World Makati Hotel starts off the Yuletide with a raffle of 25 experiences and prizes including two-night stays at New World hotels in Saigon, Hong Kong, Petaling Jaya (Kuala Lumpur) complete with airfare and breakfast for two; a trip to Tokyo for two; an iPhone 11 128 GB; an Apple Watch Series 5 GPS 40mm; a pair of Apple Airpods with charging case; a Sony Smart KDL 40 inch full HD television; and five Belo Skin Treatment gift cards worth PHP5,000 each, to name a few.
Luxe suite stays for two, as well as dining experiences for two and four guests, respectively, at the hotel’s premium Cantonese restaurant, Jasmine, and all-day dining and buffet outlet, Café 1228, will also be given away. Introducing the evening’s menu is the amuse-bouche, followed by pan-seared duck foie gras with celeriac puree, roasted pear, and marsala jus, then a white onion and thyme velouté, scallop ravioli with curry and ginger nage, palate cleanser glühwein sorbet, duck leg confit with braised red cabbage, croquette and port wine jus, entrée Mediterranean sea bream with mushroom and leek risotto, green asparagus and tarragon bisque, ending with a white chocolate parfait with ginger crumbs and black currant ice cream, as well as a selection of Christmas cookies, stollen, and chocolates.
A Feast of Festive Flavors
Savor a hearty Yuletide-themed buffet at Café 1228 from 1 to 30 December (except Christmas Eve and Christmas Day) with honey-glazed ham, prime rib, and much more at Php 2,300 and Php 2,800 for lunch on weekdays and weekends, respectively, and Php 2,500 for dinner daily. Guests may likewise upgrade with a free-flowing beverage package at PHP599 comprising juices, soda, local beers, and wines.
On Christmas Eve and Christmas Day, an even fancier feast awaits as guests indulge on oven-roasted turkey stuffed with chestnuts and prunes, roasted marinated rib eye, native Lechon, and gingerbread desserts to complete a holiday-worthy spread for special gatherings. Prices are Php 2,300 for Christmas Eve lunch, Php 2,988 for Christmas Eve dinner as well as Christmas Day lunch and dinner. All prices are nett.
Yuletide Set Menus
Authentic and premium Chinese cuisine takes center stage at the renowned Jasmine restaurant, as it offers three lunch and dinner set menus for Christmas Eve and Christmas Day. The Happiness set menu includes hot prawn chicken salad, lobster corn soup, deep-fried scallop with minced shrimp and pumpkin sauce, stir-fried fish fillet with black pepper and broccoli, wok-fried beef tenderloin in xo sauce, crispy seafood with fried rice and curry sauce, and chilled mango cream sago.
The roasted suckling pig salad introduces the Prosperity set menu, followed by crab roe with fish maw in bamboo pith soup, stir-fried fish fillet with bean curd and vegetables soya sauce, stir-fried prawn with snow peas and black truffle sauce, pan-fried lamb in barbecue sauce, crispy seafood rice in curry sauce, and chilled mango cream sago.
For the Auspicious set menu, the Peking duck salad precedes the dried scallop with fish maw in sea cucumber soup, braised local abalone with duck feet and vegetables, deep-fried scallop with minced shrimp and barbecue sauce, pan-fried lamb and black pepper sauce, and concludes with the chilled mango pudding. The Happiness, Prosperity, and Auspicious set menus are priced at Php 1,960, Php 2,070, and Php 2,180 nett per person, respectively, for a minimum of two guests.

Merry and Bright Mocktail and Cocktail
From 1 to 30 December, sip on festive drinks – Santa’s Sparkling Sleigh and Christmas Chamomile Fizz – at Bar Rouge for Php 400 and Php 280 nett, respectively. Santa’s Sparkling Sleigh adds zing to the holiday spirit with its mix of vodka, sparkling wine, Red Bull, apple juice, sprite, and lemon bitters, garnished with grape and apple slices.
For an equally festive alcohol-free treat, the Christmas Chamomile Fizz combines calamansi, chamomile tea, apple juice, ginger ale, and simple syrup, topped with sour candy and an apple slice.
