How does a hotel bar get on the list, you may ask?
The inspectors from Forbes’ stay at over 1,100 hotels anonymously and evaluate them based on 900 standards for the guide’s annual Star Ratings. It’s not only about how great the drinks or the atmosphere is at the bar but also look about the beverage program, presentation, and service, which all have to be at an exceptional level.
According to Forbes, the hotel bars that made the list scored top marks on standards related to elements of luxury. For example, inspectors checked to see if the beverages had a distinctive presentation, the snacks were high quality, the napkins were linen or cotton, and the overall bar experience was impressive.
Food and beverage quality standards are also given priority measuring whether the cocktails are well-balanced and served at the correct temperature.
