Sy Siblings Lead the Forbes Philippines Richest 2019 List
Sy siblings, the successor of Henry Sy Sr., topped the Forbes Philippines Richest 2019 list, with a combined net worth of $17.2 billion.
Coming from Philippines’ biggest corporation SM group, the Sy siblings made their debut on the list, ranking first, which their father maintained for 11 successive years.
Further, the Ty siblings—Arthur, Alfred, Alesandra, and Anjanette—also made it to the list.
They landed on the 9th place with a combined net worth of $2.6 billion from their family’s reputable conglomerate, the GT Capital—popular in the field of autos, banking, insurance, power generation, and real estate.
The people behind the renowned pharmaceutical Unilab, the Campos siblings entered the list for the first time with a combined net worth of $650 million, replacing their late mother, Beatrice Campos. The eldest daughter Jocelyn Campos is now the one who manages the company.
Other newcomers who made it to the list include Antonio Lee Tiu of AgriNurture with a net worth of $135 million, Dennis Uy of Udenna with a net worth of $660 million, and Delfin Wenceslao of D.M. Wenceslao & Associates with a net worth of $500 million.
Business Tycoon Manuel Villar, meanwhile, slipped to the second spot with a net worth of $6.6 billion emanating from one of the country’s largest mall operators Starmall and Philippines’ best-performing homebuilder Vista & Landscapes.
