  • Grab Now Charges Php 50 for Cancelled Rides
  • You might want to refrain from cancelling rides as Grab now charges riders Php 50 for such action, as part of the company’s “Better Everyday” campaign.

You can still cancel for free but only within 5 minutes after a driver accepts your booking. You’re also entitled to cancel for free under the following conditions:

    • If the driver isn’t moving towards the pick-up point (or going the wrong direction)
    • If the driver takes 15 minutes longer than the first estimated time of arrival
    • If the driver indicates that he has arrived when he or she has not

However, note that your account may be suspended temporarily for 24 hours if you fail to comply with these conditions:

    • Maximum of two cancellations in 1 hour
    • Maximum of three cancellations in 24 hours
    • Maximum of five cancellations in 7 days

On the other hand, if a driver cancels your ride, Grab will award you with 30 reward points to compensate for the inconvenience. Said rewards are only given once per day. Their Star Ratings are also reduced when they cancel on you as they have the Platinum, Gold, Silver, or Member tiers, which is the same as riders.

For fees that were charged incorrectly, Grab may refund fees within 48 hours if reported via their Help Centre.
