  • While it’s true that no bond is greater than that of siblings, it’s also true that a woman’s greatest pain in the neck is her older brother.

From the producer of Bad Genius and the director of My Girl and The Little Comedian comes a unique rom-com turned family drama Brother of the Year, starring Thai heartthrob Sunny Suwanmethanont, Nichkhun Horvejkul of Korean boy band 2PM, and TV actress Urassaya “Yaya” Sperbund.

Audiences will not have a hard time relating to the film because it gives a realistic portrayal of sibling rivalry with an older brother endlessly meddling with his younger sister’s (love) life.

Brother of the Year made about 250 million Baht (or approximately US$ 7.8 million) in Thailand and is touted as the highest-grossing Thai movie that has been released across Asia. The film has hit number 1 on its opening week in every country where it was released including the United States, Canada, Australia, and New Zealand. After Bad Genius made US$4 million in China, studio GDH hopes to repeat the achievement with Brother of the Year.
