Kids these days are prone to sickness due to the abnormal weather conditions but aside from the usual fever, coughs, and colds, parents also hate skin irritations and infections. Get to know Dr. Ma. Celi Rico-Tantianpact MD., a pediatric dermatology for your child’s skin problems.
Ma. Celi Rico-Tantianpact, MD
General Pediatrics, subspecialty in Pediatric Dermatology
Even though she came from a family of lawyers, the interest didn’t rub off on Dr. Tantianpact as she already knew what she wanted — to be a doctor. Eventually, the calling for medicine just fell into place for her and being a doctor for kids is exactly what she would love to become. She took Medicine at University of the East Ramon Magsaysay Memorial Medical Center and had her internship and residency at the Department of Pediatrics in Makati Medical Center.
She took her subspecialty of Pediatric Dermatology at KK Women’s and Children’s Hospital, Singapore, and is now handling cases such as atopic dermatitis or eczema, skin infections, as well as congenital skin conditions such as hemangioma and nevi or moles. She has been a pediatrician for five years now and, even in such a long year of practicing, she never fails to acknowledge that each child is fascinating and special in their own way.
