  • Commuter-friendly Point-to-Point (P2P) Bus Services recently announced that its future routes will be connecting Bacoor and Dasmariñas, Cavite to Makati City on Monday, August 13.

No pick-up and drop-off points have been announced as of press time, but P2P service provider Metro Express already has routes between Starmall Alabang and the towns of Bacoor and Dasmariñas, Cavite.

An innovative project by the Department of Transportation (DOTr), P2P buses are of great help to commuters who wish to have easier access to places they cannot reach because of transportation dilemmas.

According to DOTr Assistant Secretary for Transport Mark Richmund de Leon, the P2P project aims to lessen the existing traffic congestion in the Metro. P2P will also help provide a safe, convenient, and comfortable transport system for commuters.

The P2P project continues to aid traffic as it prohibits frequent bus stops, travels directly from the terminals to their drop-off points, especially in Makati City.

As of this writing, the DOTR is already on its final stages of selecting bus operators “which we hope to release next week or the week after, as interested players were done submitting all the legal, technical and financial documentary requirements, as specified by the Land Transportation Franchising and Regulatory Board (LTFRB). They also targets 15 bus units per new route,” DOTr confirms.

P2P currently conducts operational routes in Dasmariñas and Imus going to ATC Alabang, Muntinlupa (traversing
the Daang Hari road) adding the four new routes in Cavite.
