  • If you got Netflix on your mobile, high five! We are all enjoying a charmed life, thanks to this streaming app that has practically made movies and TV shows handy and portable, not to mention reasonably priced.

If you’re a Netflix user, then you know it’s easy to drown in the vast sea of movies available. It can take a couple of minutes to hours just choosing which ones to watch first. Now, hold on, we’re pulling you up onboard—here’s a list of the newest movies to check out on Netflix this April!

    6 Balloons (Drama)

How much can a person do for a sibling? The trailer of 6 Siblings already gives us the goosebumps, a preview of an emotionally gripping overnight story of a brother (played by Dave Franco) struggling with a heroin relapse and a sister (played by Abbi Jacobson) struggling to seek help for him as she drives around Los Angeles with him and her baby.

I Am Not An Easy Man (Comedy, Romance)

French actor Vincent Elbaz stars in this Netflix original French comedy as a male chauvinist living in a patriarchal world. His world, it seems, is turned upside down as he wakes up to a women-dominated world, where he finds himself trying hard to impress one powerful woman (played by Marie Sophie Ferdane).

    Come Sunday (Drama)

As an adult, how open is your mind to change? This is what Come Sunday prompts us to ponder over. Starring Chiwetel Ejiofor, the movie follows the true-to-life story of a fundamentalist preacher, Carlton Pearson, who stops believing in hell and risks everything for this new belief.

    Dude (Comedy, Drama)

Pretty Litte Liars star Lucy Hale takes on another high-schooler role in Dude, a coming-of-age stoner film featuring a group of four girlfriends in their final two weeks in high school—and the separation anxiety gets all too real. What’s special about this film besides starring Hale? It’s driven by girl power!

Here are a few other movies we’re still waiting for this April:

    Psychokinesis (Action, Comedy)

    Release: April 25

Just a few more days, and we’ll see this next big film by the director of the Korean smash hit, Train to Busan. Psychokinesis is an action-filled, entertaining film about a man who suddenly becomes the accidental superhero of his daughter and the whole town.

    Candy Jar (Drama)

    Release: April 27

Candy Jar follows the story of two smart high school debaters who apparently hate each other but find themselves working together for the same ambitious goal: to enter their dream college.

    The Week Of (Comedy)

    Release: April 27

Adam Sandler and Chris Rock play two fathers who come from different worlds and find themselves crossing path because of their children. Although the Sandler-Rock tandem promises an amusing show, we can also find some heartwarming moments as two fathers do their best to pull off a memorable wedding for their children.
