Dr. Depaynos is a urologist by profession. Coming from a family of doctors, he was inspired to become a doctor as well who has been in the medical field for about 10 years. He obtained his pre-medicine degree at St. Louis University in Baguio City, took his MD at the University of the East Ramon Magsaysay Memorial Medical Center, and had his residency training at Veterans Memorial Medical Center in Quezon City. As a doctor, Dr. Depaynos usually starts his day by doing rounds for his in-patients, holds clinic for about two to three hours a day, and schedules surgeries if deemed necessary. As a urologist, he treats ailments in the kidneys like kidney stones, kidney cancer, problems in the bladder, and elderly men with prostate cancer. His advice for those who would want to be a doctor in the future is “You should be determined, because being a doctor is really hard. It will take a lot of your time but it will be rewarding after.”
