IKEA to open beside SM MOA in Manila
After several reports that IKEA will open here in the Philippines, more news reports have surfaced that the brand has already decided on a location on where to open its first branch in the Philippines.

In a note published by Philippine Star on its official Facebook page, IKEA is said to open beside SM Mall of Asia, particularly between the SMX Convention Center and the SM MOA Arena in Pasay City. The note also states that “IKEA has struck a long term lease agreement with the SM Group.”
No official statement has been issued by IKEA yet regarding the matter. However, as per Vic Agustin from Money-Go-Round, IKEA is eyeing to open another branch beside SM Fairview in Quezon City.
IKEA is a “Swedish-founded Dutch-based” company which sells furniture, appliances, and other home items. It also has its own restaurant which serves Swedish cuisine and snacks, among others. Currently, IKEA operates in other Asian countries such as in Japan, Hong Kong, Singapore, Taiwan, Malaysia, China, Thailand, Macau, Indonesia, and South Korea. It is also dubbed as the world’s largest furniture retailer.
