  • The anticipation for the release of the XPander from Mitsubishi Motors Philippines has finally ended as they’ve recently launched their newest model last March 2, 2018 at the Mitsubishi Motors Philippines XPander Xpo held at the World Trade Center in Pasay City.

They first released the XPander last year in Indonesia and are finally bringing the now-popular SUV in the Philippines. The Mitsubishi Xpander is best for every Filipinos’ versatile lifestyle, and comes in four variants: GLX Manual Transmission (MT), GLX Plus Automatic Transmission (AT), GLX AT and top of the line GLS Sports AT.

The Xpander is produced in Mitsubishi’s latest factory in Bekasi Prefecture, Indonesia.

The Xpander is made for the adventure seeker that wants to have a modern touch of style. Mitsubishi did a dynamic shield design concept that is available in various shades and colors. It also features a LED position lamps arranged in crystal-like blocks that makes the headlights and taillights unique on its own. For added sportiness, the XPander GLX is equipped with 15-inch alloy wheels while the GLX Plus, GLS, and GLS Sport all come with 16-inch two-tone alloy wheels.

This stylish SUV is also made for comfort, as both passenger and driver can have comfortable seating position. It’s the complete package as it has a 2-DIN 7-inch capacitive touchscreen with GPS Navigation System and a built-in MP3 Player/Tuner with Auxiliary-in, a USB Port, Bluetooth connectivity and Mitsubishi’s Easy Link Feature. It also has 12V power outlets that are available in each row so no one runs out of juice while on the road.

The Xpander is equipped with a 1.5L 4A91 MIVEC (Mitsubishi Innovative Valve timing Electronic Control System) DOHC 16-valve engine which gives a maximum output of 105 horsepower at 6,000 rpm and a maximum torque of 141Nm  at 4,000rpm. The top of the line GLS Sport variant is equipped with Hill Start Assist and Active Stability Control.
