  • Students from four universities in the Philippines were sent to the Lazada Headquarters in Indonesia from January 12 to 13, 2018 for an e-commerce workshop and cultural tour.

    The representatives of the Philippines were chosen through “The Laz Mark,” Lazada’s first intercollegiate e-marketing seminar and competition, which was held in July 2017. The contest hailed five winners, namely, Renzo Lim from the University of the Philippines, Faustine Lim from the Polytechnic University of the Philippines, Jonah Ambata and Arianne Canoy from the University of Asia and the Pacific, and Michaella Maliwat from the University of Santo Tomas.

    The workshop in Indonesia was held with the purpose of educating the young participants about e-commerce and fostering their entrepreneurial spirit with the help of Lazada Indonesia heads from marketing, merchandising, and seller acquisition. Each leader discussed their specialization and how each function contributes to the dynamics of Lazada.

    The participants were also given a tour of the Lazada Headquarters and Indonesia’s key cultural attractions like the National Monument, Istiqlal Great Mosque, and Fatahillah Square.
