    Malagos Chocolate Factory wins 7th international award

    Davao-based Malagos Chocolate bagged one (1)  Silver and two (2) Bronzes at the 2017 Academy of Chocolate Awards in London. This is the 7th international award for Malagos Chocolate and a major victory for Filipino cacao farmers. Malagos Agri-Ventures is part of the Puentespina Group of Companies, which is owned and run by the Puentespina family of Davao. Last year, 2016, Malagos 100% Unsweetened Chocolate (Drinking Chocolate category) won SILVER and 2 STARS (out of 3 stars) at the Academy of Chocolate and Great Taste Awards in London, UK, respectively.

    11-year-old bagged three golds and bronze in Hong Kong

    Pinoy pride soars high as Filipina,  Breanna L. Labadan bagged three golds, one bronze, and even got the Individual All-Around Champion. at the Hong Kong Queens Cup 2017 International Rhythmic Gymnastic competitions held from December 16 to 17, 2017. Individual All-Around Champion. Along with her are top gymnasts coming from Singapore, Malaysia, and Hong Kong. She got a gold in the Ball Apparatus, Clubs Apparatus, and the Individual All-Around routines. As for bronze in the Ribbon Apparatus routine.

    DOTR breaks ground on New Terminal Building at the Clark International Airport

    The construction of the New Terminal Building at the Clark International Airport has finally been set into motion. Spanning around 100,000-sqm including landside and airside facilities, the new terminal is designed to accommodate an additional eight million passengers every year. It is expected to decongest the Ninoy Aquino International Airport terminals, as well as spread development in the peripheries. The expansion of the Clark airport is part of a bigger development plan for North and Central Luzon.

    Chinese Embassy donates Php 5.1M for storm-devastated areas

     

    A total of $100,000 (Php 5.1 million) were donated to the Philippine National Red Cross (PNRC) for the ongoing relief efforts in areas devastated by tropical storm Urduja this year. They hope that this may bear witness to friendly sentiments of Chinese to the Filipinos and unite them more. Aside from the donations they also gave their sympathy in hope to recover and grow stronger after the calamity. Counsellor Sun Yi of the Chinese Embassy looks forward to helping to aid the Filipinos in need in the future.

    Less operating hours for MRT 3 this the holidays

    It is expected that there will be shorter operating hours for the Metro Rail Transit 3 (MRT 3) this upcoming holidays. North Bound commuters will experience the changes on December 24, 2017, at the North Avenue station at 4:45 a.m. The last train for the day will leave Taft Avenue station at 8:26 p.m. As well as on Christmas day itself, starting 6:30 a.m. and ends at 9:50 p.m. While on December 30 or Rizal Day, is at 4:45 a.m., with the last one leaving Taft Avenue at 9:50 p.m.
