Bucay has been cycling for a couple of years but met an accident in 2013 which required an operation that left him with unproportioned legs. Placing second, however, marked Bucay’s second win, after winning the bronze medal in 2014’s Incheon Asian Para Games. During the duration of the said competition, Bucay managed to survive the whole cycle run and was able to finish after 1 hour, 15 minutes and 4.32 seconds.
