  • Planning a trip to Japan? Other than your plane tickets, a Japan visa should be at the top of your list.

Make your dream Japan trip come true soon!

Japan used to be known as a country that could put you through a lot of stress in getting a tourist visa due to their strict application process. But now, with Japan’s move to boost its tourism, the process has become significantly easier. Add to that the emergence of low-cost airlines and travel agencies, then your dream vacation to Japan will be smooth sailing.

Travel agencies like Friendship Tours help you get your Japan visa, whatever type you need, so you don’t have to break a sweat. Accredited by the Embassy of Japan, Friendship Tours provides accurate information and guides you all throughout your visa application process.

Friendship Tours makes your visa application a whole lot easier.

Friendship Tours has shared with us some basic information that you should know about getting a Japan visa.

Prepare all the requirements for your Japan visa application.

    1. Passport. Tips: Your passport (valid for at least six months) must be signed and have at least two blank visa pages. A newly issued passport must be signed on the third page. Broken passports are not accepted.
    2. Visa Application Form. Tip: Make sure that there are no erasures and no blanks (if an item is not applicable, write N/A instead).
    3. 4.5cm x 4.5cm photo with white background. Tips: The photo must be taken within six months and pasted on the application form. Make sure to write your (applicant’s) name and birth date on the back side.
    4. PSA (formerly NSO) Birth Certificate. Tips: It must be issued within one year. If it is unreadable or with incomplete information, submit it along with your Local Civil Registry birth certificate.
If it is “late registration,” submit it along with a baptismal certificate and a school record (Form 137) from high school or elementary.
If there is no record in PSA, submit a “Certificate of Non-Record) from PSA together with a Local Civil Registry birth certificate. For senior citizens with late registration or no record, provide a copy of the senior ID as a supporting document.
    5. PSA Marriage Certificate. Tips: It must be latest or issued within one year from PSA Main. If there’s no record in PSA, submit a “Certificate of Non-Record” from PSA along with the Marriage Certificate from the Local Civil Registrar.
    6. Bank Certificate. Tip: It should be valid within three months.
    7. Itinerary (Day-to-day Schedule)
    8. Photocopy of Latest Income Tax Return (Form 2316 or 1701)
    9. Multiple Request Letter (only if you are requesting for a multiple entry visa)
    10. Alien Certificate of Registration (ACR) Card Copy (if you are a foreign applicant)

If a person other than the applicant will shoulder the travel expenses, prepare the following:

    1. Letter of Guarantee. Tip: It should have a hand-written signature.
    2. Photocopy of any valid ID of the guarantor.
    3. Documents to prove the relationship. Tip: For a relative, submit birth certificates. For a friend, show pictures of you together.
    4. Financial documents of the guarantor. Tip: It can be a Bank Certificate or latest photocopy of Income Tax Return.

Once you’ve completed all your requirements, Friendship Tours will take it from here!

You, the applicant, are required to go to the office of Friendship Tours for a personal appearance. If you are not available, only an immediate family member may represent you. Upon release, you or an authorized person with a valid ID and authorization letter must pick up your passport.

If you have an existing visa and want to apply for a new visa, you should cancel your existing visa first. You must provide a cancellation letter upon application.

The processing of your visa takes only around seven working days, depending on the decision of the Embassy of Japan. While Friendship Tours helps you through the process of the visa application, it is the Embassy of Japan that will issue your visa. Note that all the documents you submit, except for your passport, will not be returned to you.
