  • Take a look at the preview of what’s about to happen at the CREATE Philippines 2017.

    CITEM Deputy Executive Director Maria Lourdes Mediran, DTI Usec. Nora Terrado, together with CREATE Philippines’ industry partners: BBDO Guerrero Chairman David Guerrero, Design Center of the Philippines Executive Director Rhea Matute, Creative Economy Council of the Philippines Founder Paolo Mercado, CITEM Department Manager Arturo Dimaano, CREATE Philippines Project Manager Leah Ocampo, Endeavor Philippines Managing Director Manny Ayala, ACPI President Miguel Del Rosario and Brand Guerrilla PH CEO Nato Agbayani share a toast at the launching of the event.

    A premiere event in the country highlighting how the Philippines aims to embrace the creative sector under the Duterte administration – the CREATE Philippines 2017  is set to happen on October 20-22, 2017  at the Philippine Trade Training Center and Hall One, Pasay City, Philippines.

    A number of media and panelists were invited to a preview of what CREATE Philippines 2017 is all about. They talked about making the Philippines as a platform for real action where unified voices of the Filipino people will serve as a creative rendition of talents in upscaling the arts and achieving the goal of making the country an archipelago of creatives.

    According to DTI undersecretary and head of DTI’s Trade and Investments Promotion Group, Ms. Nora Terrado, she envisions CREATE Philippines to make the country itself a “creative city.”

    She also looks forward to CREATE Philippines being recognized by UNESCO and to empower local artists, intensify intensive collaborations between other artists and businessmen across the globe, and focus on “innovation and transfiguration,” which will make the Philippines an archipelago of creatives.

    CREATE Philippines will cover the country’s content industry. It will focus on fast-growing sectors, such as Visual Arts and Graphic Design, Advertising Content and Production, Film and Animation, Digital games and apps, Music, and the Performing Arts.
