  • A former student of the Polytechnic University of the Philippines has been included in Forbes list of 30 Under 30.

    When Gian Scottie Javelona was 19, he created a mobile app for his school which can access a student’s records and enrollment form. He became popular in the Philippines for doing so, and at present, he runs the OrangeApps. As described in his Forbes profile, “OrangeApps is a cloud-based platform where schools and universities can manage multiple processes” including student enrollment, grades, Human Resources, and payroll.

    Javelona is also in Forbes 30 Under 30 Asia: Enterprise Technology category. The list contains Asia’s brightest young entrepreneurs, innovators, and game changers. Part of the Forbes 30 Under 30 list include swimmer Joseph Schooling who won the first Olympic gold of Singapore in Rio, singer and Grammy award winner Lorde, YouTube star and singer Troye Sivan, and Filipina-Taiwanese actress/blogger Ann Li.
