  • June 19 was the Birthday of Jose Rizal, our national hero. But also as Kultoura, a Philippine travel guide application collaborated and developed by the National Commission for Culture and the Arts (NCAA), Department of Tourism (DOT), Smart Communications, and InnoPub Media.

    Kultoura. The application that will help the students and travelers alike.

    Kultoura contains information about heritage sites, historic schools, churches, different nature parks, and must-see places in the country. It also include famous personalities, delicacies, and other interesting trivia about your selected city or province. Some cultural landmarks have Wi-Fi and Quick Response codes so you can have additional information through phone scan.

    Application. There are so many applications so make sure to download with the InnoPub developer.

    The app was developed to help students and tourists alike “to learn more about Philippine culture and heritage. It may also be useful to foreigners who are interested in the rich history and beautiful destinations in our country” as what the National Commission for Culture and the Arts Chairman Virgilio Almario who’s present at the product launch at Rizal Park.

    Aside from Manila, Kultoura is also implemented in Baguio, Albay, Bohol Dapitan, and Davao

    Kultoura is part of the new Digital Tourism program of InnoPub and Smart in 2012. The aims are to harness mobile technology to promote tourism and preserve the cultural heritage sites.
