LRT to have no trips from Maundy Thursday to Easter Sunday

  • In observance of the Holy Week, the Light Rail Transit Authority (LRTA) and the Light Rail Transit Line 1 (LRT-1) announced that both LRT-1 and LRT-2 will have no trips from Maundy Thursday (April 13) to Easter Sunday (April 16). Operations of the two lines will resume on Monday, April 16.

    On Holy Wednesday (April 12), LRT-2’s westbound trains (Santolan-Recto) will be operational from 5am to 10p, while the eastbound trains (Recto-Santolan) will go on from 5am to 10:30pm. This was according to an article published by Inquirer.net.

    Maundy Thursday and Good Friday are considered regular holidays in the country, while Black Saturday is a special nonworking holiday.
