Filipina included in 43 most powerful female engineers in US
Filipina Engineer, Anne Aaron ranked 32 among 43 most powerful female engineers of 2017 by Business Insider.

Aaron is also the director of Video Algorithms at Netflix, and was noted for leading the team of software engineers and research scientist that enables Netflix’s 86 million subscribers to watch streaming with the best quality.
Before her work at Netflix, Aaron also worked at tech powerhouse Cisco Systems as a Senior Software Engineer for Video Codecs.
In an article published by Business Insider, Aaron has a PhD in electrical engineering and distributed video coding and has been with Netflix since 2011, working her way up from senior engineer. The annual shout-out to the powerful women in the US tech is celebrated along with the National Engineers Week.
Anne Aaron graduated last 1998, Magna Cum Laude in Ateneo De Manila University and with a Bachelor of Science in Physics and Computer Engineering (1999).
Microsoft Peggy Johnson ranked no.1, for she had helped the company established an artificial intelligence center in Montreal with the acquisition of a startup, and also included in the boards of international health organization, and Live Nation Entertainment.
