Filipino Designer wins Britain’s Top Designer 2017
Filipino designer John Herrera was named Britain’s Top Designer 2017 in London, England; besting five other London-based designers.
Inspired by the Philippine eagle, Herrera proudly dominated the runaway with his “Agila” collection, which is a result of a collaboration between Herrera and Epson Philippines.

According to an article by Preview, the panel of judges included Celebrity photographer and Britain’s Next Top Model judge Nicky Johnston, CEO of Fashion’s Finest and creator of the Britain’s Top Designer Deborah St. Louis, celebrity stylist Bernard Connolly, Cerys Wrigley-Moss, fashion stylist and Princes Trust Ambassador Lewis Duncan-Weedon, fashion stylist Lola Royle, and former fashion director of the Daily Telegraph Hillary Alexander.
“Thank you, Britain’s Top Designer 2017! We won! Thank you, Epson, for helping me realize my dream,” Herrera wrote in an Instagram post on Monday.
Britain’s Top Designer is organized by Fashion’s Finest and is considered one of London’s largest fashion events.
