  • P40 flag-down rate for taxis takes effect nationwide
  • The Land Transportation Franchising and Regulatory Board (LTFRB) has implemented the P40 taxi flag-down rate on Monday, effective nationwide except in the Cordillera Administrative Region (CAR).

The petition to bring it back to P40 was because of the rising oil price every week, as per LTFRB. This will cover the first 500 meters with no rate increase in the succeeding meters and for waiting time as well.  On the other hand, CAR’s taxi flag-down rate will be at P35. The said flag-down rate was effective on February 13, Monday.

Meanwhile, there is also a P1 increase in the minimum fare by jeepneys in Region 3, Region 4A, and Metro Manila, with the same reason being rising oil prices.
